Accommodation
Registration fees do not include hotel accommodation. To make your hotel booking the Symposium has negotiated special Symposium rates with a variety of hotels around the Convention Center. Visit the accommodation page here for more information on Symposium hotels and to make reservations. 

 

Certificate of Attendance
All registered participants can collect their Certificate of Attendance at the Registration Area at the Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII as of Saturday April 5 after 2:00pm.

 

CME Accreditation
The ISN Nexus Symposium will apply for CME accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) - www.uems.net. Once the application process has been finalized and information on the final number of CME credits allocated to the ISN Nexus Symposium more information will be made available here.
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit will be provided in due course.
 
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

 

Confirmation of Registration
Upon finalizing your (online) Symposium registration you will receive an immediate e-acknowledgement including all the details of your Symposium registration.
Within one (1) weeks after receipt of your registration fees you will receive a personalized confirmation by email.
Approximately two weeks before the Symposium you will receive an email including all updated useful and and important Symposium information.

Insurance
The organizers of the ISN Nexus Symposium do not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance and participants are strongly advised to make their own arrangements regarding health and travel insurance.

 

Language and Translation
The official language of the Symposium is English, presentations will be delivered in English and no translation service will be provided.

 

Lunch and Refreshments
Daily coffee breaks are scheduled in the poster area and are included in the registration fees. A Welcome Networking Reception is scheduled on Thursday April 3, 2014 and is included in the registration fees. Lunch is also available in the Poster Area on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April 2014.

Description of Membership Types and Registration Categories 

(1) ISN Members: Members in good standing of the ISN
(2) New ISN Members Joining: Individuals currently not a member of the ISN who wish to attend the symposium and join ISN as a member at the same time (significant savings)
(3) Non Members: Individuals registering to the Symposium but not interested in being ISN members
(4) ISN Members in Training: Young Nephrologist Members of the ISN under the age of 37 (must be ISN Member to benefit from the discount and proof of ‘in training status’ will be required)
(5) Regulatory Agency: individuals employed directly by a Regulatory Agency, proof of employment is required to benefit from this registration category
(6) Pharmaceutical Company Representative: individuals employed by a Pharmaceutical Company (group discounts available for multiple registrations)

 

 

Replacements and Cancellations Policies
Cancellations of confirmed registrations are subject to an administrative charge of 120 EUR provided the cancellation is received before February 28, 2014. For cancellations received after this date no refunds will be made. All cancellations must be made in writing to the ISN Global Operations Center ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) and actual refunds will be made after the Symposium.
Replacements (= delegate name change) of a confirmed registration may be made until February 28, 2014 free of charge. Replacements made after February 28, 2014 are subject to an administrative fee of 60 EUR.
Reprints of lost badges onsite during the Symposium (for confirmed registrations) are subject to an administrative charge of 40 EUR.
 

 

Italian Participants
Alijet & Fargo International S.r.l. is authorized to collect and present to the Department of Public Health in Rome, Italy the application forms of all participants and companies from Italy who will be attending and participating in the upcoming ISN Nexus Symposium from 3 -6 April 2014.  For further information please contact: Mrs. Paola Cirri via: This email address is being protected from spambots. Transportation
Due to the proximity of the Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII and the Symposium hotels, no Symposium bus shuttles or transportation is arranged or included in the registration fees. For information about airports and accessibility please visit the travel Information tab on the Nexus website.
