Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark with over 1.1 million inhabitants, is one of Europe's oldest capitals. Copenhagen is a compact city with a lot of history and most attractiosn are within close range from the Tivoli Congress Centre.

Language
The official language is Danish. English is widely spoken.

Attractions
The most famous attractions in the city are: The 100+ year old amusement park Tivoli, the statue of The Little Mermaid and Amalienborg Palace – home to the royal family. Guided canal tours on the harbour are also very popular.

Time Zone Denmark follows Central European Time (CET) which is one hour ahead of GMT and six hours ahead of EST.

Currency and credit card information
Currency: Danish kroner – DKR. 

The most common credit card in Copenhagen is VISA, but most ATMs accept Mastercard and American Express as well. Be sure to bring your PIN code and a picture ID. Some places might charge a fee for the use of  foreign credit cards.

ISN can accept no responsibility for accidents or damage to the personal property of participants. Please make your own arrangements for health and other necessary insurance.

Tipping Prices include taxes and service. A tip is not indispensable, but justified for good service.

Transportation From Copenhagen Airport
There is a direct train from Copenhagen Airport Terminal 3 (track 2) to Copenhagen Central Station. From there, you can either :  

•   Walk to the hotel (8-10 minutes walking distance)

•    Or take a train from Central Station (tracks 11 and 12) to Dybbølsbro Station.  

Tickets from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station are also valid on the bus, metro and S-train.  Taking a taxi from the airport will cost approx. DKK 300. All taxis are metered and accept all major international credit cards.
